Boise, ID and Baker City, OR — May 21, 2026 — Idaho Power and Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) have filed with the Oregon Public Utility Commission (OPUC) requesting approval of an agreement to transition ownership of Idaho Power’s Oregon distribution system to OTEC.
Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) has awarded 24 scholarships to students across Baker, Grant, Harney, and Union counties for the 2026-27 academic year. Administered by the OTEC Member Foundation, the scholarships support graduating high school seniors, returning college students, adult learners, and incoming Eastern Oregon University freshmen who commit to four years at EOU.
