2021 Kids Electricity Safety Art Contest Winners!
Safety is at the forefront of everything Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative does for its member-owners. The past three years, OTEC has done its part to increase electrical awareness for our youngest members by holding an electrical safety artwork contest for kids throughout the cooperative’s service territory.
Local kids aged kindergarten through 8th grade were given the choice of coloring a page provided by OTEC or creating an original piece of art. Dozens of submissions came in and the winners were chosen in a poll by OTEC employees.
The 2021 winners are Brooke Dyer, Joe Haberman and Arianah Andersch, all from Baker City. Congrats to them and great work by all the kids who submitted artwork this year!
OTEC plans to hold its third kids’ electrical safety artwork contest in 2022, because your cooperative knows how important it is to make kids and families aware of the dangers of electricity and how to stay safe around power lines is a subject that never goes away.
