Kids Electrical Safety Artwork Contest

You are here

  1. Safety & Education
  2. Kids Electrical Safety Artwork Contest

The safety of our member-owners and employees is a primary value and of the utmost importance at Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative. In keeping in that spirit and the cooperative value of Concern for Community, your local cooperative is once again holding an artwork contest for local children to encourage them to be creative while learning about safety around electricity.

Now until Friday, April 21, children of OTEC members - Kindergarten to 8th grade - can take part in the 2023 Kids Electrical Safety Artwork Contest, with their parents or guardians’ permission.

Please download one of the posters below to color or create your own poster with an electrical safety theme!

Once you've created your work of art, please sign your name, your grade in school and contact information.  Please drop off your artwork at any OTEC office, scan and email it to communications@otec.coop or mail it to OTEC Communications: 4005 23rd St. PO Box 226, Baker City, OR 97814.

OTEC employees will vote for their favorite and prizes will be awarded for three categories: Kindergartners to 3rd Graders, 4th to 6th Graders and 7th-8th Graders.

First place winners will claim a $50 gift card and prizes will also be awarded to second and third place! Prizes will be awarded at OTEC's Annual Meeting in May (winners do not not need to be present to claim prize). Winners will also be featured in safety advertising and a future issue of Ruralite Magazine!
