Baker City, Oregon (OTEC) — Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative exists to provide reliable electricity to its member-owners across four counties in Eastern Oregon.
So, how are we doing?
OTEC wants to know what you, our members, think about your electric cooperative. Knowing that the best way to find out is to simply ask, OTEC is working with TSE Services, a cooperatively owned market research firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina, to see just where OTEC stands.
Starting the week of March 11, randomly-selected OTEC member-owners in Baker, Grant, Harney and Union counties will be contacted by phone and online to participate in a member satisfaction survey. OTEC asks that if you are one of the members to receive a call, please participate so OTEC can find out how it’s doing and how the cooperative can better serve its members.
“OTEC strives to respect the time of its members. We know that you are busy, so when we decide to conduct or participate in surveys there are reasons,” said Andrew Cutler, OTEC’s manager of communications and public relations. “These surveys that show us areas where we need to improve how we serve you, our member-owners. As member-owners of OTEC it’s your voice that decides the direction of the cooperative. These surveys are opportunities to have your voice heard directly by OTEC.”
The survey is an annual assessment of cooperative member opinion that has been conducted by TSE Services in collaboration with Touchstone Energy Cooperatives. Member feedback highlights areas of strength, weakness, opportunity and potential threats to OTEC.
“The results of these surveys allow us to target areas of improvement allowing us to provide our members with a level of service that’s second to none,” Cutler said.
