Baker City, Oregon (OTEC) — Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative is excited to announce that the cooperative is planning to launch a new revamped website, designed to allow members to easily access OTEC information and pay utility bills online. The new otec.coop, will debut in MARCH?, features a simplified look allowing members and businesses to quickly navigate the site.
The revamped website will allow members to log into their ebill accounts right from the homepage. The otec.coop homepage also includes links to a live outage map and a link for members to sign up and learn more about the programs the cooperative offers.
A variety of safety and energy conservation tips will also be included on the new website.
“We are redesigning the website to better serve our member-owners,” said Sandra Ghormley, OTEC’s director of member and program services. “Our members have busy, hectic lives and our new webpage will provide them with the tools they need to quickly take care of business.”
Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative will also offer a new online video service on the website. The videos will help member-owners understand how the cooperative buys and generates power and how members can save money by changing how and when they use energy.
“We strive to effectively communicate with our member-owners. This website and the videos we produce will provide members with additional resources to help them understand the programs we offer and what makes our Co-op so unique,” Ghormley said.
The new website was designed by Touchstone Energy Cooperative Inc., based in Virginia.
